OV2 - PaintBar - Volcon - SuperCharts OV2 OV2 provided the facility for plotting the Real and Implied volatility data supplied by CRB (Previously known as Bridge). The main tools and functions included analysing a set of data to find which data files had experienced specific rises in volatility. There was also a function to view the Option Strike Price data in a matrix format for the current and previous trading days. All the functionality of OV2 has been included in TESS. The significant advantage of viewing the volatility data in TESS rather than OV2 and some other charting package was that the volatility graph is shown overlaid on the corresponding price data. PaintBar PaintBar was a facility for encoding some of the earlier TES bars into a program called Supercharts which is provided by others. Having now developed our own charting software all the TES bars have been significantly revised and many more created. These can all be viewed in the new Trading Edge Strategy Software. Volcon Volcon was a data facility for applying the 'Total Contract Volume' to individual contracts, using the CRB data feed. Volcon was made redundant when the data supplier incorporated a facility within the download to do the same job. This automated the process and removed the need for the 'Volcon' Software. SuperCharts Before we had developed our own charting software many of our clients used a software package called 'Supercharts'. This could then be used in conjunction with the above mentioned software facilities. Supercharts was not designed, written or marketed by Trading Edge but was a charting package available at the time for our clients to purchase if they wished. Having now developed the Trading Edge Strategy Software it has become far simpler to use the Trading Edge approach using TESS as all the facilities are present in one software package.
