INVESTOREASE
Update
Q. When
updating Investorease I get an error "Dynazip Error"
A. This
is a question for Investorease (01622 820152). They know about
the problem and there is a work around for it. Alternatively you
can keep going through the Update process and eventually all the
data will be updated.
Q. I have
updated the Investorease data but the charts in TESS are still
out of date.
A. The
data in TESS also needs updating. Click 'Data', Click 'Import
IEASE Data', Click 'Update'. This will update all your local IEASE
data. This is covered in CD1 Section 4.
WORKSHEETS
Q. The
worksheet creator does not create any worksheets.
A. For
the worksheet creator to create worksheets there must be data
files in TESS. Click 'Data', Click 'Import IEASE Data', check
the FTSE100 box, Click 'Import'. This is covered in CD1 Section
4.
Update: This is now automated in version 4.0.28 or later.

Q. I don't
seem to have any of the FTSE100 worksheets in the worksheets folder.
A.
The FTSE100 worksheets are not installed with TESS and need to
be created using the 'Worksheets Creator' in TESS. This is covered
in CD9.

CTI
SCANNER
Q. The
results on my CTI scan are not the same as the results shown on
the MO.
A. There
are a number of reasons why this can occur.
1. First check
you are using the latest version of TESS.
The FTSE100 list is now automated in version 4.0.28 or later.
Download the latest version from
here.
2. Check you
are scanning the worksheet list called 'FTSE100' which is the
one maintained by the Auto updater in TESS.
If
you have created your own list, say 'FTSE100 Stocks' then this
is not kept up to date with new FTSE constituents.
3. The scan
is not carried out at the same time. If Keith scans the data over
two days on a Wednesday and you scan your data for two days on
the Thursday the result will be different.
4. If the
scan period is different. If Keith scans over a period of two
days and you scan over a period of three, the results may be different.
5. Your data
may not be up to date. If your data is up to Wednesday and Keith
is scanning data up to Thursday, you may get different results.
6. Your data
may be incorrect. You may be missing a day's data, which will
affect the results. Update your data or re- import the FTSE100
or 250.
7. You data
may be more up to date. If Keith has scanned 2 days data to Wednesday
and the next day you do a scan for 3 days to Thursday it may not
contain all the results that Keith's does. A stock may have traded
above the 5% on Wednesday and shows up on Keith's results. If
on Thursday it closes back below the 5% it will then not appear
on the results.
SOFTWARE
LICENSE
Q. When
will I get the full ID & Password for TESS.
A. An e-mail
is sent, with the ID and Password to fully activate TESS, after
the 45 day evaluation period.
The software has been designed to run a few days extra to allow
time for the e-mail to be received.
If there is no e-mail address the information will be sent by
post.
If you do not receive either and your software expires, contact
the support team.
In the mean
time just click 'Evaluate TESS' to run the software.
