How
do I update the FTSE100 stocks in TESS using Investorease
data ?
UPDATE
There
is now a routine in TESS that updates the FTSE100 &
FTSE250 automaticaly.
To use this download the latest version of TESS (anything
greater than v4.0.26)

details belowrefer the the old manual method for any version
prior to v4.0.26
Answer:
Import FRESH FTSE100 Data into TESS
Click 'Data'
Click 'Import IEASE Data'
Tick 'FTSE100'
Click 'Import'
This
will import fresh data for all the FTSE100 stocks.
The
length of time to do this task depends on computer speed
but mostly on any Virus checker settings. A Lot of files
are accessed a lot of time during this routine so if the
virus checker is on high settings it will slow it down significantly.
When
the above is compete.
Arrange
a new FTSE100 Worksheet folder
Click
'File'
Click 'Open Worksheet'
Select (or navigate to) the 'Worksheets' folder
If you
already have a sub folder called 'FTSE100'
Either : Rename the folder
Right Click the folder 'FTSE100'
Click 'Rename' on the drop down list.
Type 'FTSE100-old' or similar name
Or : Delete the folder
Right Click the folder 'FTSE100'
Click 'Delete' on the drop down list.
Right
Click in the 'white area' of the next worksheets folder.
Click 'New' on the drop down list.
Click 'Folder' on the next drop down list.
Type 'FTSE100' to name the new folder.
Create
a new set of FTSE100 Worksheets
Click
'File'
Click 'Open Worksheet'
Select (or navigate to) the 'Worksheets\Templates' folder
Select and Open the worksheet 'Template.tws'
Three charts titles 'SampleUKStocks' should open.
Click 'File'.
Click 'Worksheet Creator'
Tick FTSE100
Change the output folder name to c:\Tess\Worksheets\FTSE100
Click 'Run'
Set
the fresh FTSE100 list in the CTI Scanner
Click 'Analysis'
Click 'CTI and Pull Back Scanner'
Click 'Edit List'
Select the 'FTSE100' list in the worksheet list drop down
box.
Select the folder 'C:\Tess\Worksheets\FTSE100' or the location
of your FTSE100 folder.
Click 'Clear All'
Click 'Add All'
Click 'OK'
The
scanner will now be set up with a fresh set of FTSE100 data.
