Importing the FTSE100 into TESS from Investorease for the first time takes a very long time it import ?

Answer:
Whilst computer speeds can have a significant affect on the import time the primary reason for a slow speed is the intervention of virus checkers. The import procedure accesses and changes many data files many times each. If your virus checker is set to check files each time they are changed then it will slow the process down considerable. One can either leave the process to complete, in say an hour or so, or adjust your virus checker setting to a more relaxed set-up for the import procedure
