How
can you e-mail a TESS chart to someone.
Answer:
If the recipient has TESS and has the same data supplier
then you can just e-mail the Worksheet file.
Save a worksheet with the required chart in the normal way
including any text and lines etc.
Then, in TESS, Click 'File', Click 'Open Worksheet'
Right Click the file you wish to send, e.g. Copper.TWS
Click 'Send To'
Click 'Mail Recipient'
Your e-mail system should load with the file attached and
the cursor ready in the address box ready to enter and address
and send the e-mail in the normal way.
If the
recipient does not have TESS, the a visual chart can be
sent
Set the chart up in TESS at full screen just as if you were
to print the chart.
When the chart is visually as you want, it type SHIFT/Print
Screen on the Keyboard.
A copy of the screen image will be placed in the Windows
Clipboard.
This can then be pasted into a document file of a word processor
or into an image editor like Microsoft Paint.
Save
the file in the secondary software.
Locate the file using Windows explorer.
Right Click the file and follow the remaining instructions
as above.
Notes:
If you are sending a worksheet to someone and their data
is different to your data, or they have a different type
of display, then there may be discrepancies in the visual
result.
If sending a Bitmap from Microsoft Paint it is a good idea
to zip the file before sending to avoid large file sizes.
Alternatively convert the image to a GIF.
