The
historical chart loads but does not refresh in real time.
1.
Check you are using the very latest versions of IQfeed and
RTTESS.
There may be a later version available than the version
on the CDs supplied with the course.

2.
Firewalls, Virus Checkers, and other software conflicts
On some occasions firewalls, virus checkers and other
software can conflicting with the data feed connections.
Consult with your suppliers of these items to establish
how they can be set to not interfere with the data connection.
3.
Internet Connections
A poor Internet connection can account for a slow refresh
rate.
Test the connection by temporarily using a different Internet
connection if possible.
4.
Wireless Network Connections
On some occasions wireless connections between the computer
and the Internet can have an effect on the data feed. The
protocols involved in wireless connections are usually 'tougher'
than a hard wired link which can effect the rate of data
transfer.
Test the connection by temporarily using a fully wired connection
if possible.
5.
Popup Blockers
On some occasions popup blockers can prevent the fresh
data being received.
It may be that the sensitivity is set too high.
Consult with your supplier to establish how they can be
set to not interfere with the data connection.
6.
Consult with the data supplier IQfeed
The Data Suplier, IQfeed may be able to assist with
port settings to allow your computer to access the data
feed.
