How
can I view the Back Test results in a spread sheet ?
The
Data section of the Back Test output is formatted with 'commas'
between each column to enable easy importing into a spread
sheet.
(Comma Delimited Text)
Method 1.
Run the Back Test.
Click 'Copy to Windows Clipboard'
Paste the text into 'Windows Notepad' or similar
Save the file as a '.txt' file
Open the new '.txt' file in 'Windows Excel' or similar.
This should prompt the 'Text import wizard'.
Select to import the file as a 'Delimited' data type
Select the Delimiter as 'Comma'.
The data section of the output will then be separated into
columns.

2
Every time you run the Back Test it writes the results to
a file called 'tradelog.txt' in the RTTESS folder.
Open this file in 'Windows Excel' or similar and continue
as detailed in Method 1

Run the Back Test.
Click 'Copy to Windows Clipboard'
Paste the text into 'Windows Excel' or similar.
Select the column where the text was pasted.
Click 'Data'
Click 'Text to Columns'
This should prompt the 'Text to Columns wizard'.
Select to import the file as a 'Delimited' data type
Select the Delimiter as 'Comma'
The data section of the output will then be separated into
columns.
