Is
it possible to adjust the Decimal Places of the Prices and
PIP values ?
YES.
RTTESS
is designed to work with any chart data, not just FOREX
data.
The
software calculates the 'minimum traded value' from the
imported data feed itself.
The scales and prices values have been formatted to match
the minimum traded value of the instrument without dropping
any trailing zeros.
FOREX
Data
Recently the FOREX data from IQfeed increased the number
of decimal places in the data.
The software has been adjusted to allow for the change and
reduces the figure by 1 decimal place to ensure the PIPs
are displayed correctly.
Other
Market Data
With other market data the figures supplied may not result
in the correct PIP values being displayed. (They could read,
say 250 instead of 25)
From
v1.1.73 an 'exceptions file' has been introduced to allow
the Decimal Places of the Price data and PIPs to be altered.
The
file is called : dpexceptions.txt
The file is located in the folder : RTTESS\Reference
It is
an editable text file so it can be opened in Windows Notepad
or similar.
The format of the file is:
Symbol,
Price Decimal Places, PIP Decimal Places
(One entry per line)
Example
1
GBPUSD.FXCM,5,4
This
would alter all charts with the symbol GBPUSD.FXCM
It would set the Displayed Decimal Places to 5 (e.g. 1.45716)
It would set the PIP Values from the 4th decimal place (e.g.
0.0001)
Example
2
@US#,5,3
This
would alter all charts with the symbol @US#
It would set the Displayed Decimal Places to 5 (e.g. 1.45716)
It would set the PIP Values from the 3th decimal place (e.g.
0.001)
