When loading a chart I get the message 'Invalid Symbol'.

This is a message that is displayed from the IQfeed software to say it has been unable to identify the symbol requested.

The Symbol Guide and Symbol Lookup are available from the IQfeed web site.
Some of the common symbols used are covered in CD2 of the TUFXP Course

Opening a New Chart
If this message is received when opening up a new chart then the symbol may have been mis-typed or the symbol requested may not exist in the IQfeed data base.

The chart space will be loaded 'blank' and should be deleted.
Reload a new chart using the correct symbol.

Opening a Worksheet

If this message is received when opening an existing worksheet then the worksheet contains a reference to an non recognised symbol. There will be an empty chart that relates to the symbol in group of charts. The empty chart should be deleted to prevent the message being received the next time the worksheet is loaded.

Note:
Two commonly used symbol pairs are:
GBPUSD.FXCM (for the Pound Dollar)
EURUSD.FXCM (for the Euro Dollar)
