What are the numbers in the lower right of the chart and why do they change colour ?

The numbers count the seconds since the last data update for the chart was received.
As the number becomes greater the colour changes steadily from Green to Red.
The Red is to draw your attention to the fact that the chart has not received a tick for some time.

If the counter has become higher than expected it may be indicating that :

1. The internet connection may have been lost.

2. The market being viewed may not be trading at than time, (i.e. weekends).

3. The exchange supplying the figures may not be transmitting the data.
If viewing FOREX data on say 'Barclays' it may be worth switching to 'Tullet'.

4. The symbol being watched may not very liquid and there are minimal trades.
